Sonata Software’s performance on consolidated basis in Q1 FY 12 is below that of the previous qtr of q4 FY11 and also the corresponding qtr of q1 FY11.

Net Sales/Income from Operations is Rs.333.99 cr – up by 4.08% from Q4 FY11 and by 0.21% from Q1 FY11.

Total Expenditure at Rs.321.89 is up by 8.32% from Q4 FY 11 and up by 4.12% from Q1 FY11.

Profit from Operations at Rs.16.88 is down by 34.34% from Q4 FY11 and down by 39.36% from Q1 FY11.

SONATA SOFTWARE has released its results for Q4  FY 11 and for FY 2011.

Net Sales for FY 11 is Rs.1393.35 cr against Rs.1380.44 cr in FY 10, an increase of 0.93 %.

Total Expenditure     in FY 11 is Rs.1291.96 cr against Rs.1271.38 cr in FY 10 – an increase of         1.62%.

Profit from Operations in FY 11 is Rs.113.26 cr against Rs.121.50 in FY 10 – a decrease of  6.78% - mainly due to increase in stock in trade /WIP and purchase of traded goods.

Profit before tax has improved slightly due to higher other income – to Rs.112.72 cr in FY 11; against Rs.115.21 cr in FY 10 – still showing a decrease of 2.17%

Net Profit has further improved slightly due to lesser tax expense – to Rs.96 cr in FY 11; against Rs.95.43 cr in FY 10 – an increase of 0.6 %.

Lesser share of associates and minority interest has helped the company in further improving its Consolidated Net Profit to Rs.85.61 cr in FY 11 against Rs.79.87 cr, an increase of 7.18%.

Against a Face value of Rs.1, Basic EPS  for FY11 comes to Rs.8.14 – against Rs.7.6 in FY 10.

Over all, while the consolidated results are on par with last year and good, there has not been any significant improvement over the previous year.
