IOL CHEMICALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS , a leading manufacturer of APIs/Bulk drugs and speciality chemicals has reported strong performance in Q1 FY 19

Net revenue increased by 68% to 362 Cr

EBITDA increased by 57% to 43.43 cr

Net profit increased by 384% from 2.98 cr to 14.41 Cr

Exports increased by 88% to Rs.147 cr

Annual capacity of Ibuprofen increased by 39% to 10,000 MT.

EPS on a FV of Rs.10 is 2.56 against 0.53 year ago. 

At the current Market price of 124,PE works out to 12.1

Volume of transactions is good around 243670.

Price trend indicates that price has increased from 66 to 124 in a period of 1 year, with an 87% increase.

The company has also launched various APIs in anti-diabetic, anti-cholestoral, and anti-platelets which are getting good response.

Its product profuile includes APIs, Ibuprofen, Metformin, Fenofibrate, Clopidogrel, Lamotrigene and speciality chemicals such as Ethyl Acetate, Iso Butyl Benzene, Mono chloro acetic acid and acetyl chloride

It is the world’s largest producer of Ibuprofen with 10,000 TPA capacity. And having backward integrated manufacturing facility at a single location. It has DSIR approved R&D facility.

Overseas customers are spread across, Australia, Belgium, Hungary, spain, Switzerland,Portugal, Poland, ireland, USA, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Indonesia, south korea, Thailand, Iran etc.

Products are sold generally to Branded Generic formulators.
