list.

recently announced that he has decided to forgo his entire annual compensation of
about Rs.15 Crores in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

second-richest person with a fortune of $13.8 billion for the first time.
Shares of his Avenue Supermarts, have been relatively immune to the coronavirus

India went into total lockdown, the stock market had plunged to a three-year low
on March 18. According to Forbes' data, the total number of Indian billionaires
gone down to 102, versus 106 in 2019. Also, their collective wealth has shrunk
23% to $313 billion.
HCL founder
and chairman Shiv Nadar, HCL founder and chairman is ranked third in the
list with a net worth of $11.9 billion. HCL shares are quoting around Rs.552
Uday Kotak of Kotak Mahindra Bank is India's fourth-richest person in the list is
with a net worth of $10.4 billion. Kotak

Gautam Adani The fifth spot in the list is occupied by who has a fortune of $8.9
billion. He is managing Ports, commodity businesses etc. Adani Ports is quoting
around Rs.322. Adani Gas is at Rs.118. Adani Enterprises is quoting at Rs.148
Sunil Mittal, Telecom giant Bharti Airtel's founder, is ranked sixth in the list with
a net worth of $8.8 billion.
Cyrus Poonawalla is the seventh richest Indian with a net worth of $82. billion. He is in
healthcare business of vaccines
Kumar Birla is ranked 8th with a fortune of $7.6 billion.
Steel magnate
Lakshmi Mittal occupied the ninth spot with a net worth of $7.4 billion,
The tenth
position was shared by Wipro founder Azim Premji and Sun Pharma founder
Dilip Shanghvi with a net worth of $6.1 billion.
Premji who
donated a big chunk of his shares in Wipro in 2019 to Azim Premji Foundation.
With this donation, Premji brought his total lifetime giving to his
education-focused charity to $21 billion.
