OnMobile announced the results of its third quarter, fiscal year 2011, ending December 31, 2010.

Revenue for the quarter was Rs 1,486 million, a 29 per cent increase versus the comparable period a year ago.

Financial Highlights

• Revenues were up 13% sequential quarter on quarter
• Year to Date December revenues were up 22% over Year to Date last year.
• International revenue contribution to total revenues rose from 23% in the last quarter to 31% in the current quarter
• Overall Gross Margin remained stable at around 73%.
• Core Business Gross Margins also stable at around 73%.
• Overall Operating Profit Margin improved from 11.4% to 11.8% this quarter
• Core Business Operating Profit Margin improved from 23.8% to 25% this quarter

Financial Highlights

• Revenue increased 29% from Rs 1,155 million to Rs, 1,486 million
• EBITDA increased 46% from Rs 231 million to Rs. 336 million
• Operating Margin increased 49% from Rs 118 million to Rs 175 million
• Net Profit increased 59% from Rs 132 million to Rs 209 million
• Earnings per share increased 58% from Rs 2.21 to Rs 3.48

Arvind Rao, Chairman, CEO and Managing Director, OnMobile, said, “The third quarter results highlight steady growth achieved through our continued success in the international markets - in particular, deployment of our large Telefonica Latin America project. Global expansion is a very strong focus area for OnMobile in addition to servicing our India market franchise.”

Other Highlights

• OnMobile launched services in Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela in this quarter as part of the multi-country Telefonica project in Latin America. With this launch, OnMobile is now live in six countries covering 80% of the total 130 million subscriber base of Telefonica LATAM
• OnMobile revenue from LATAM increased by 80% this quarter
• OnMobile received and delivered on its first order for 3G Transcoding Video Gateway from a leading operator in North America
• OnMobile won embedded handset deals for its video protocol stacks with over seven major handset OEMs in China.
• OnMobile launched ‘Music Burst’ – an ‘unlimited music download and play’ product in a large telecom operator in Indonesia
• OnMobile restarted the delivery of the market leading Dynamic Content Adapter product for one of the top Internet Companies in the North American market.
• OnMobile’s dynamic Churn Management solution helped add 2% to the top-line revenue for a leading telecom operator in Asia, resulting in 88% increase in subscriber recharging
• OnMobile expanded offerings in the Personal Data Management space for both Android and IOS devices.
• On the Apple iOS, the ‘MyPhonebook’ application was selected as the best application of the year by a leading operator customer in the European and North American region
• On Android, the enhanced version of OnMobile’s ‘My Synchronization Space’ service was launched in a European operator. Features include enriched web interface and embedding of the application on Android devices
• OnMobile registered new offices in Uruguay, Egypt and China. This Dilithium Networks acquisition has increased OnMobile’s geographic presence by 21 countries
• OnMobile was recognized amongst the top 100 companies at the annual Inc. India 500 Awards.
