Ø On a consolidated Basis, MAGMA Fincorp has posted total
operating Income of Rs.278.22 cr – against Rs.251.86 cr in previous qtr and
Rs.225.38 cr in corresponding Qtr.
Ø Profit from operations stands at Rs.196.38 cr in
current qtr – compared to Rs. 174.82 cr in previous qtr and Rs.145.41 cr in
corresponding qtr.
Ø Profit Before tax stands at Rs.20.57 cr in current
quarter, compared to. Rs.30.24 cr In previous
qtr and Rs. 49.03 Cr in corresponding qtr. This is due to Higher Interest
expenses.
Ø Net (consolidated) profit after tax & Minority
Interest stands at Rs.13.22 cr in
current Qtr – compared to Rs.20.58 cr in previous qtr and Rs,32.19 cr in
corresponding qtr.
Ø Equity stands at Rs.37.95 cr.
Ø Basic EPS stands at Rs.0.51 in current Qtr – against Rs.0.98
in previous qtr ; and Rs.2.25 in corresponding qtr.
Ø On A face value of Rs.2, the cumulative EPS upto
Dec,2011 is Rs.2.46 , while the annual EPS for y/e March,2011 was Rs.8.57.
Ø Thus, Higher Interest Expense has reduced Magma FinCorp’s
profits considerably in current and previous quarters both.
