Wheeler Vehicles in July,2012 for Major Auto Makers are as below :
Tata Motors Group
Global wholesales at 101,605 vehicles in July 2012
The Tata Motors Group global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover,
were 101,605 nos., in July 2012, higher by 21% over July 2011. Cumulative
wholesales for the fiscal are 377,747, higher by 10%, compared to the
corresponding period in 2011-12.
Global wholesales of all commercial vehicles - Tata, Tata Daewoo
and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range -- were 47,776 nos., in July 2012, higher
by 1%, over July 2011. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were flat at
178,292 nos.
Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles were at 53,829 nos. in
July 2012, higher by 45%. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal are 199,455
nos., higher by 20%.
Global wholesales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 26,908 nos.,
for the month, higher by 50% over July 2011. Cumulative wholesales for the
fiscal are at 89,082 nos., higher by 5%.
Global wholesales of Jaguar Land Rover in July 2012 were at 26,921
vehicles, higher by 41% over July 2011. Cumulative wholesales of Jaguar Land
Rover for the fiscal are 110,373 nos., higher by 36%. Jaguar wholesales for the
month were 4,064 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 15,838 vehicles,
higher YoY by 1%, while Land Rover wholesales in July 2012 were 22,857 vehicles
and cumulative wholesales were 94,535 vehicles, higher YoY by 44%.
Maruti Suzuki Sales in July 2012

Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a
total of 82,234 units in July 2012. This includes 11,210 units for export.
The Company had sold a total of 75,300 units in July 2011. The sales figures
for July 2012 are given below:

Tractors
Sells 15495 units in the domestic market during July
2012
Mumbai, August 1, 2012: Mahindra &
Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the U.S. $15.4 billion
Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in
July 2012.
Domestic sales in July 2012 stood at 15495 units, as against
15699 units during July 2011. Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) in July
2012 stood at 16521 units, as against 16692 units for the same period last
year. Exports for the month of July 2012 stood at 1026 units, as against 993
units in July 2011.
Mahindra's Auto Sector
19% growth during July
2012
Mumbai,
August 1 2012: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M
Ltd.), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, today announced a 19% rise in its auto
sales numbers, which stood at 47059 units during July 2012 as against 39633
units during July 2011.
The company’s domestic sales stood at 42799 units
during July 2012, as against 37323 units during July 2011, an increase of 15%.
The Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes the UVs and Verito) has
registered a growth of 27%, having sold 22011 units in July 2012, as against
17312 units during July 2011.
Speaking on the performance, Pravin Shah, Chief
Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
said, “We are happy to have achieved a growth of 19% during July 2012 in spite
of difficult and uncertain market conditions continuing. Incidentally,
July 2012 is the second highest monthly sales for us. The Auto Industry
needs to be concerned about slower economic expansion and consumer sentiments
which are not so positive. A cut in interest rates would have helped
lower the cost of manufacturing and product, thereby improving industry
confidence”.

REPORTS SALES OF 4,84,217
UNITS OF TWO-WHEELERS IN JULY 2012
UNITS OF TWO-WHEELERS IN JULY 2012
New Delhi,
August 01, 2012: Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL), the world’s largest two-wheeler
manufacturer, today reported sales of 4,84,217 units of two-wheelers in the
month of July 2012. HMCL had sold 4,91,036 units in the corresponding month
last year.
HMCL recently
announced setting up a Global Parts Centre (GPC) at Neemrana in Rajasthan. The
announcement was made at the company’s Global Supply Chain Partners Conference
at St. Petersburg in Russia last week. The GPC, which is expected to be
operational in the third quarter of the next financial year (2013-14), will be
set up with an initial investment of Rs 160 crore and will initially employ 400
personnel and will be spread over 35 acres.
HMCL recently
announced its best-ever turnover (Net Sales & Other Operating income) of
Rs. 6247.28 crores for the first quarter (April-June 2012) of FY’13. The
company’s profit before tax for the period stood at Rs 734.88 crore, while
profit after tax (PAT) for the period stood at Rs 615.46 crores. The Company
has recorded an EBIDTA margin of 15 per cent. Hero MotoCorp registered
its highest ever quarterly sales of 16,42,292 two-wheelers in the first quarter
this fiscal, fuelled by two consecutive months of highest-ever monthly sales
witnessed by the company in the months of April (5,51,557) and May (5,56,644 ).
Hero MotoCorp
has strengthened its presence in the deluxe segment with the launch of its new
125cc motorcycle – Hero “Ignitor”. The sporty looking ‘Ignitor’ is loaded with
impressive features and is attractively priced at Rs. 55,900/- for the
drum-self-cast variant and Rs 57,900/- for the disc-self-cast variant (both
prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Meanwhile,
HMCL’s new scooter - the recently-launched 110cc Maestro – has already been
contributing handsome volumes. Maestro, along with the Pleasure, has further
strengthened the company’s strong presence in the scooter segment.
TVS Motor Company
sales at 161,255 units in July '12
Hosur, 01 August 2012: TVS Motor Company registered total sales of
161,255 units in July 2012 against 189,962 units registered in July 2011.
Two
Wheeler
Total two wheeler sales stood
at 157,954 units in July 2012 in comparison with 186,672 units recorded in July
2011. The company reported domestic sales of 140,822 units for the month of
July 2012 against 160,348 units of July 2011.
In July 2012, the company sold
53,355 motorcycle units against 70,170 units in July 2011. Scooters registered
sales of 40,895 units in July 2012 against 49,333 units in the same month of
the previous year.
Exports
The company's total exports
for the month of July 2012 stood at 19,182 units against 28,542 units in the
same month of the previous year. Two wheeler exports reported for the month of
July 2012 was 17,132 in comparison with 26,324 units in July 2011.
Three Wheeler
The company sold 3,301 units
of three wheelers in July 2012 against 3,290 units in the same month of the
previous year.
