INDIA’S
BILLIONAIRES
2018
Do you know that - stock market prices are the basis
for calculating the wealth of people and declaring the Billionaires of the
world? OK. They are the easiest way of calculating our wealth. For
Billionaires, the other wealth, like Buildings, farm houses, cars and even
planes may perhaps be peanuts.
Forbes and some others calculate the wealth of
Billionaires broadly based on stock prices and I don’t know what else they take
into account. It doesn’t matter for us. The world Billionaires list is growing
steadily. At the top also, some minor changes are taking place every year.
The Indian Billionaires List also is growing steadily.
Mr.Mukesh Ambani sits at the top of India’s list quite
comfortably with $40.1 B. He is managing his Flagship company, Reliance
Industries excellently.
The second richest Billionaire is Mr.Azim Premji with
just 18.8 B. But, he is known to have donated a lot of his money to Charities.
Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali fame, is a new Entrant
into the List at a fairly high ranking of 14.
I personally congratulate all the 119 Indian
Billionaires. I hope this tribe of billionaires will grow by leaps and bounds
in coming years. However, I wish Some Indian organization also computes the
wealth of wealthy Individuals in India and publish some sort of interesting
statistics of how they are growing.
We need case studies of meteoric growth of Individuals
which can serve other ambitious individuals in their search for
entrepreneurship and wealth.
