WORLD BILLIONAIRES LIST
2018
TOP 20
The world’s ambitious people are always looking out for
the world’s Billionaires’ list for the New year. The 2018 list is also eagerly
awaited and lapped up.
Imagination and implementation are the 2 key focus
areas for budding entrepreneurs – to join this list of world Billionaires. I
have taken the Top 20 richest people of the world and giving it below for your
knowledge.
Jeff Bejos of Amazon is 54 and is world No.1 with $112
Billions. Amazon was a Great idea of a virtual Book store, which has expanded
worldwide to encompass many more things.
Bill Gates of Microsoft is now 62 and is at No.2 with $
90 Billions. He has put Microsoft software in almost every home in the world
and that was his childhood dream.
The Legendry Investor of Berkshire Hathaway, Mr. Warren
Buffett is 87 and is at No.3 slot with $ 84 Billions. He is also nicknamed THE
ORACLE OF OMAHA, for his uncappy ability of predicting stock fortunes.
Mark Juckerberg of Face Book is hardly 33 of age and he
is at No.5 with $ 71 Billions.
Thus, of the first 5, 4 are Americans, who have founded
world renowned business empires and succeeded as first generation
entrepreneurs. Amazon, Face Book and Microsoft are unique Business Models which
are difficult to replicate. They are also modernizing TOO FAST for anyone to
catch up.
There are many other Americans in this list – from Walmart,
Google, oracle and so on.
India’s Mukesh Ambani is at sl.19 and China’s Jack Ma
is at sl.20.
Mr. Mukesh Ambani is at age,60. He inherited Reliance
Industries from his father Late Dhirubhai Ambani and built up its business
lines very carefully, very smoothly, to become No.1 in India and No.19 in the world with a net
worth of 40.1 Billion US Dollars.
His latest venture is into Telecom where his
brother Anil Ambani failed very badly. But, where Anil failed, Mukesh is
succeeding excellently with his Jio.
I think, Jio is already at No.1 spot in Telecom,
trouncing Airtel. I am not sure of this though at this point. Airtel can still
offer great resistance and capture/retain No.1 spot if only, it shows clear
consumer orientation, competitive price and by being Numero Uno in technology
solutions.
Sunil Mittal has to come up with great ideas for this. In telecom,
electronic and computer world, this is eminently possible. Face Book and Google
rose up as world Giants in a very short time. It is poverty of ideas that keeps
people backwards and richness of ideas that moves people to the forefront. In India, customer sensitivity and total
honesty are premium products, unlike in USA. If a company adopts them, it will
emerge as world leader.
China’s Jack Ma is at No.20 at age 53, with $39
Billions. He is into e-commerce business.
Next year, who, of these, will stand at what place in
this list - is difficult to predict, given that all of them are moving up at
break-neck speed. But, because of them, world will be a richer place.
Prime Minister Modi once asked, why can’t we have an
Indian Google, Indian Face Book and Indian Amazon?
Our Indian Tech Giants have not yet woken up to this
idea of the Indian Prime Minister. Will they always remain as contractors for
others or become originals in their own right any time in the future?
I am
specifically asking this question to - TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO and other Indian tech Giants. Will they ever wake
up to their fullest possibility?
Our No.1. Mr.Mukesh Ambani also goes in the beaten
track only and his theatre of action is basically India only. He gets into the
best of Indian businesses, with the best Business plan and beats his Indian
competition. Conquering the world is in nobody’s mindset in India, as of today –
except perhaps the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
How many of us
want to get into the Forbes List of Billionaires, say, in 10 years from now.
What will be a Billion dollars worth 10 years from Now? whatever, Yet, it is
worth planning.
If we can make our Politicians honest, India can
produce a 1000 billionaires or more in 10 years, who can ensure that all
Indians are far above poverty line. Dear Reader, plan to be one among those
Billionaires. All the Best to you.
